Extra-Mural Activities at Clarence Primary School

At Clarence Primary School, our extra-mural programme provides learners with opportunities to discover their talents, develop new skills and build confidence beyond the classroom. Through a variety of sporting, creative, cultural and enrichment activities, we encourage teamwork, discipline, perseverance and healthy participation in school life.

Depending on the grade and programme, learners may have opportunities to participate in:

  • Sport: Swimming, Mini-Netball, Mini-Cricket, soccer, hockey and ball skills.

  • Mind and Strategy: Chess, encouraging concentration, logical thinking and problem-solving.

  • Creative Activities: Arts and crafts, allowing learners to explore their imagination and express themselves creatively.

  • Environmental Awareness: Eco-Club activities that promote an appreciation for the environment and responsible environmental practices.

  • Technology and Innovation: Coding and Robotics, helping learners develop logical thinking, creativity and practical problem-solving skills.

Our sporting programme includes structured coaching and opportunities for learners to participate in school and inter-school activities. Swimming takes place during Terms 1 and 4 in the Foundation Phase, while organised sport is emphasised during Terms 2 and 3.

At Clarence Primary School, we believe that extra-mural activities play an important role in developing well-rounded learners. By encouraging participation, teamwork and a spirit of sportsmanship, we aim to help every child explore their interests, celebrate their abilities and enjoy a balanced school experience.

At Clarence Primary School, learning extends beyond the classroom—creating opportunities to participate, discover, grow and excel.
